Logo and Slogan Contest 2nd Entry
September 10, 2007Note to anyone who comes close to my logo and slogan:
Be original! Mahiya ka naman kung manggagaya ka lang.
This is an entry for the Logo and Slogan Contest at Reyna Elena.
Slogan:
OL FOR WAN
JUAN FOR ALL
A typical Pinoy spells as how it is heard phonetically, thus All For One becomes Ol For Wan…or Ol Por Wan but Ol For Wan spells the OFW also which means the OFWs are united for each other.
Juan For All: Juan also depicts a Filipino just like Joe depicts an American. It is a common characteristic of a Filipino, OFW or not, to be hospitable, caring, and one that sympathizes another. If a blooded Filipino is not, then that is not considered as being true Filipino.
Logo Details:
The salakot (worn as a hat known in the Philippines especially for farmers working on the fields) is a Filipino icon.
The Filipino wearing it giving the sign of approval is a typical Filipino. It also gives the positive aura to someone who sees it.
Juan (Filipino) is the wearer of the salakot.
The Philippine flag dresses the unknown Juan who embraces the Filipino culture, thus, more likely than not, a Filipino is immediately known.
The Philippine flag turning upwards gives the optimistic feel of the many optimistic Filipinos despite hardships faced daily.
Colors:
The flag is colored as is.
Juan is colored brown as the Filipino is brown.

Galing ah!
