Logo and Slogan Contest First Entry

September 10, 2007

Note to anyone who comes close to my logo and slogan:

Be original! Mahiya ka naman kung manggagaya ka lang.

This is an entry for the Logo and Slogan Contest at Reyna Elena.

Slogan:

Kita Ko, Nasa 'Yo (My Income, Sent To You)

Hirap Ko, Kita Mo? (My Hardships, Can You See?)

For the non-Tagalog viewers: the word KITA can mean  INCOME, SEE, and YOU. Determining which meaning is used is contextual.

Logo Details: Meaning of each detail:

blue, red, and yellow - symbol of the Philippine flag

coin - the official money of the Philippines for which the earnings of the OFWs turn into ultimately

First half of slogan on the blue side: optimistic/blessing/peace in the house

2nd half of the slogan on the red side: hardships are negative (red); negative effects of being an OFW

whole image of an EYE: depicting sight, as in, can you see the hardships?

teardrop: so many hardships that come to crying just to earn

the flag, symbolizing the country, Philippines can also be a claw "getting" or receiving the money.

The name Overseas Filipino Website is just a letterhead or header idea
