Stranded But Safe

October 11, 2009

We’re currently here in Baguio City since Oct. 2, for the Feast of Tabernacles, which ended yesterday. The first day and the 8th day was sunny but those days in between were typhooned with lots of rain and gusty wind. For the first in my life I’ve seen a typhoon landing 3 times. Although Baguio City is on top of the mountain, places below are flooded like Pangasinan and nearby areas.

We really felt safe although the Mansion House, which is the “house” of the President when coming to Baguio (which is the summer capital of the Philippines), and the VP cottage were used as evacuation centers. Today, since yesterday, it’s sunny but roads going out are cut off. Yesterday there was no available internet connection. Now I can blog.

Good thing my “work” can be done even when I’m stranded here. :) It may take 2-3 days before we can really go down to Manila…Might as well enjoy the stay with other brethren we are with. :)
