My New Dream Machine: It’s Ruff And Tuff! Know Where You Can Get Yours For Free!

November 28, 2007

Pictures are worth more than a thousand words and just by looking at those shots above I'm sure you can even come up with a million words! :)

Imagine your laptop underwater, covered with mud and even directly showered on and you can still see your monitor against broad daylight! You think it's just a joke? I don't want to think so because I want to have one for myself too!

According to research done by International Data Corporation (IDC), 64% of notebook damage is caused by drops, 38% by spills, and 28% by crushing. LCDs and HDDs are reported to be the two components most often cited as suffering damage.

Corporations in the US spend a total of $1 billion every year to repair and replace damaged notebooks.

Look at the specs of my dream Ruggedized Notebook machine:

It operates on Windows XP Professional with Intel Core Duo ULV 2.33 GHz Processor, 667 MHz FSB, On-die 2MB Level 2 Cache with 1GB DDR RAM, an 80-GB Shock-mounted Hard Drive, a CD-RW/DVD+RW (DVD Dual) Drive, with 14.1" TFT LCD Screen Sunlight Readable Display (SXGA Resolution).

Video boasts of Intel GMA 950 Graphics Controller with 125 MB shared memory and Networking through an MSI 802.11 b/g Wireless LAN, 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet, 56Kbps V.92 Modem (Optional EV-DO/GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA, Bluetooth (V2.0 Class 2) and GPS).

Ports are Internal PCMCIA Module, 3 USB 2.0 Ports, 1 Serial Port (RS-232), 1 IEEE1394 Port, 1 LAN Port (RJ-45), 1 Modem Port (RJ-11), 1 VGA Port, 1 S-Video Port, Smart Media Card Reader (4 in 1, supports MS/MS Pro/SD/MMC).

How about Spill-proof Keyboard with Backlight option, Pressure-Sensitive Touch Pad with Vertical Scrolling Support? That's what's the picture above is almost all about!

Audio power is through Intel High Definition Azalia 24Bit Audio, Four Speakers, One Microphone, Microphone-in and Earphone-out jacks.

Battery is Primary Li-ion Smart (6 Cell, 4400mAh, 11.1V), Hot Swappable, Approximately 3.7 Hours.

Its size is just like a folder, with 12.3 inches (W) by 10.11 inches (D) by 1.39 inches (H) and it weighs only 2.2kgs or 4.9 lbs.

It can withstand between 5-35 degrees C while operating and when not operating, a -20 to 60 degrees C!

Humidity is 20% to 80% RH, non-condensing.

Vibration tests gave an Assurance Level II and Drop tests from 26 inches of free drop on to plywood 26 times!

Enclosure is of Magnesium Alloy Case which is 20 tims stronger than ABS Plastic, offering Higher Survival after drops and bumps.

It has added protection to critical components such as CPU, RAM, HDD, ODD and against vibration because of its Rubber Protection Surrounding for the LCD and HDD.

Regulation: FCC, CSA, CE, CB

Warranty? 3 Years!!!

Can you imagine that???

Cost? It's $2,295 and I cannot buy it. :(

But I know where I can have it and you have the chance too to get it for yourself FREE!
